  1. I finnished the majority of the winter work on the bike so it is ready for the show season. It ran after a few adjustments. Finer adjustments and details will have to wait for a warmer day. Also this!:
  2. Speaking of colours i believe my one was originally black, well it was before it was restored anyway a few years ago ( long before i bought it). I have got some photos off of a previous owner which show it in "original" black if you would be interested in seeing them.
  3. Bit of a coincidence but picked this up today for £20 at Battlesbridge. Overall good condition but zip is a bit dodgy at the moment, probably due to long term storage.
  4. This person on youtube has some good videos of "swamp tanks" like this one. http://www.youtube.com/user/ritchiewinter/videos?view=0
  5. How did u copy them - i tried :undecided: I cheated and used Print Screen
  6. Just been following the trail from facebook, after searching several diferent titles i thought i'd found one the same but it took me here!
  7. He bought that maxim at the show and decided to put it in the back
  8. Trying to think now, he did mention something about the tyres. I think he said that original tyres did not allow water out of the tread but, i cant remember why, he had diferent ones fitted but he did have a reason. I believe he also had a few photos of the restoration which may be useful for some of you
  9. He did mention that he used to have a bedford, nice enough person
  10. Its been a while since an update but nothing much has really been done. Its been a tad cold lately so i have not been up to going out and doing much work. Instead i have been collecting parts together and getting all the info i can find. I bought a new Regulator, Magneto, Cable, Handlebar lever for Mag. Also a BSA manual and a general book on mid centurary BSAs which looks very useful. Also done a bit of reseach in oils, am i right in thinking that i should use mineral SAE40 without detergent for everything. Unless anyone has diferent views?
  11. I have regretted the fact that i didnt, i know that they were in the issue of Classic Military Vehicle the month of the war and peace show itself (the pictures in CMV were taken at W&P the year before). I think there were three Ts at war and peace together and i think they drove them there?, the T i was in was believed to have once been an ambulance one. http://www.kelseyshop.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=88_97_266&product_id=2371
  12. I got a ride in one of the Model Ts at War and Peace last year. It was amazing they just glided through all the war and peace mud with no problem at all
  13. MkII Third Contract, frame number 36?3, restored
  14. Cant see the photos either. I believe the links to ebay are an automatic thing for this site which mean certain key words link to someone who is advertising with the site or subscribed to advertise with the "tag" system.
  15. It is approximately 12" by 7" when open and 5" by 7" when folded up. Below are pictures of the two sides of the ruler (the best i could get for now without too much glare). Also a photo of a mark only visible on the mostly empty set. RAF would make sense as the person i bought them off of did national serive in the RAF and that may have been where he got them from ( also got a tin of Air Ministry floor polish from him ).
  16. Got 2 of these at a show this year. One is full and the other has a couple of compasses in. Each piece is military marked. I assume they are post-war but i can't say i've seen a set like this before. I am sure someone here can enlighten me on the subject. Thanks
  17. Welcome, good to see another welbike owner!
  18. Welbike UK and the Leiston person are two separate suppliers. Welbike UK is based at a professional engineering workshop where they have the capability to make just about anything to precise measurements. Thats where i got my wheels from which they machined out of a solid piece of metal, but of course you are paying a lot more for this service.
  19. I know the person you are on about, i believe his name is Duncan, i have his phone number if you are interested. He does a lot of ebay selling of parts based in Leiston.
  20. Wouldn't this one be a prototype with those tanks? Never seen that image in that greater quality before
  21. Well i bought a new Magneto and Dynamo so hopefully progression will start again soon. Today i removed the old dynamo, it really does look round and has been modified and has had bits removed replaced everywhere. I removed the timing cover as to remove the magneto from the drive. I bought an extractor tool but it wasnt necessary as the fitting was loose and i could undo it with my fingers. Behind the cog i found there is no oil seal which of course is essential. Is EBay the best place to buy one of these or is there a better supplier. A ball bearing also fell out when i removed the cover, i assume it goes on the small thin pipe that comes up from the cover. Below are a couple of photos (better quality ones will follow)
  22. A friend who has a pair and asked me to enquire if anyone has any details on them. I had a quick google and people seem to mention them but there are no obvious pictures or sales of them. Thanks
