Even the military dont bolt them on !!! You can see the marks from where the ratchet straps were on my body. I have managed to get hold of 4 of the clamps for the body but could do with another 6 if anyone has any they want to sell on.

This is the second truck I have bought of David and would recommed him to anyone! He is a great guy to deal with the price is what he say it is. he will give the truck a check over or do any work you want done. http://www.crouchmilitarysales.co.uk/ He has lots of Dafs and MJ's you can wander and find the truck you like he will tell you price he can even test and register it for you. Looked at that one in the tender and thought it was a nice truck didnt it have the right 9x9 tent in the back aswell

Well quick update I bought a comms body cheap on good old ebay and needed something to drop it on. Had a look at Withams tender and Auctions but kept getting out bid by dealers on the auctions(one guy just exports them to Africa) So we popped over to see David Crouch he had about 30 of them along with the same in MJ TM etc looked along a line found the one I liked(later lights had a refurb looks like a new cab etc) tyres were worn so part of the deal was a new set. Drove the 120 miles home fine comfy at 52mph and pulled really well. Seemed no to bad on diesel aswell. This is what I got. What do you think? now onto converting the inside

I bought a generator from him at the show this year Cheers for the heads up on the neoprene I think mine is doing the same. Saw the Goat thought that would be a silly toy but didnt ask how much. Try soaking it in fresh diesel for a day or 2. Problem with Reos is you dont know whats in the tank.

Saw the otter and Aquatrack going south down the M3 the other day!

The back was or seemed to be converted into a camper. There was a very strong East European contingent at the show this year with loads of Zils Urals W50's etc. Nice to see

Whatever has happened to it its still a sad state of affairs in our hobby. I remember seeing it at the show(parked next to it one night watching Kellys Heroes) and thinking it was a very different truck(not the same as all the others)

Just a thought would it be outside the realms that the wrong truck was picked up? It will be a green 6x6 army truck with a star on the bonnet in the car park. If stolen there were a few Halftracks next to it I know which one I would take.
