  1. A quick glance through Canadian and British parts lists show them all to be 3/8" BSF.
  2. There is a chance I won't be able to get down to unload today..... Lee, are you up for unloading the Sherman? Could you PM me your mobile number so we can discuss please?
  3. The sherman should be there around midday, I'll drop in to unload and then be back on saturday morning for the duration.
  4. Were pennants still in use in NW Europe? I thought they were a desert war thing.
  5. The muzzle brake that was stolen in a previous year was only on loan to the Panther I understand. There were two 75mm German muzzle brakes this year, the other was on the same stall as last year and though he was asking less than £900, it was still too much (presumably).
  6. A Spitfire is fairly light, especially a PRU, it doesn't do much damage to the ground.
  7. I never enter a vehicle for judging, the winner is usually the prettiest vehicle or a friend of the judge.....
  8. These are the relevant pages from All arms training standing orders for the safety of crews of armoured fighting vehicles. Dated 1980.
  9. There are specific tracked vehicle signals that differ slightly from those Gary posted, I'll scan them in later and post. As Bob says, done properly, it is possible to position very accurately. Unfortunately, most drivers think they know better than the guide and do their own thing which is very annoying and some guides I wouldn't trust to direct water down a drainpipe.....:-D
  10. Good idea...... there would be loads of room at Beltring then.
  11. One of the best and well balanced pieces I have read on the subject. Nicely put Paul.
  12. Whilst I too cannot see why you would want to dress up as SS, or many of the displays frankly, to ban it would be doing a disservice to the very freedoms that were so hard won.
  13. Perhaps you would rather the pilots died? What a load of ignorant twaddle.
  14. Hi Litchy, yes I have some big enough. I won't be going untill the 20th though so if you need it before, we'll have to sort out something.
  15. Oh, that was the main reason I was going........
  16. Those sizes are just 1 3/8" wide in 10' lengths. As with many steel sizes, the imperial size was just renumbered in the metric equivalent.
  17. War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! War and Peace! etc.
  18. The things you can see are the ramps. As none of us were there and have no idea exactly what procedures were used, this is all idle speculation. Going on past threads, this could run for pages yet........
