1. My vehicle has a non servo system, so a second main cylinder would brake as normal. Still the cost is steep to get a system working. I rather buy a 3ton capacity vehicle trailer or get stuff running and fly over and drive back. Vehicle transporters asked a fortune and damaged my vehicle by 1000 pounds.
2. if it can drive, i need to pay my dad fuel money and we go convoy by three and get him as a foot passenger with beer money back to europoort and my brother drives him home.

my other option is to go back and get it driving slap on a APK and drive to the boat. in the uk get a registration for it and just enjoy it. i need to get engines and gearboxes over aswel.

the use of a A frame in the UK is not needed after my vehicles are over. if i had a vehicle trailer or a C licence car transporter to shift a lot of goods it would have helped.
3. A sliding construction like a sankey has, and a brake cylinder plumbed in to give brake capacity. I do plan to stay legal and tow my lightweight from storage in holland to my home in lincs. The dutch army used the points i plan to use as lifting and towing eyes. Does anyone got a sankey parts place?
4. Is there a place to get those? Is a NATO ring a option to construct one? I plan to tow a lightweight behind a 101fc.
5. or both. i know in hospitals they keep freezer stuff like friday booze time snacks in a stiff freezer. i do wonder how long things take to defrost from long storage.
6. A lot of NOS parts will get found, most new items but aged to look right. A no MOT on 30+ vehicles is a good idea. Get more testers a job pulling people over for a check on a parking lot. Failure to have a road worthy vehicle means you lost it or if you can, have it trailered away.
7. I met Bruce at the war and peace, my dad told him he liked the show. Bruce asked me if i liked it too, i replied that tv signals are a new thing in coastal lincs. He did have a laugh and i fussed the dog he had, talked to Bruces wife and we showed dog pictures to eachother.
8. We had a arena mud run this morning, all 6 land rovers entertained all 10 people watching. It was our duty to do atleast 2 runs before the show ends.
9. I see what i can do, i got shakey footage of a Scammel recovering a stuck Stalwart.
10. We had our engine sease up gently on the M20, i do not have time for much as i need big end bearings and sealant to fix the knock we developed.
11. My dad, brothers and their kid next door go from holland, me and the wife go from lincs. 101fc ambulance 109 ex raf (not finished yet) Sankey trailer are the vehicles we bring.
12. And a short pistol type stock for para troopers if i recall correctly.
13. Back in Holland we had the same ****, why military land rovers, they leak, they are muddy. in the UK i looked for other toys like DUKW, a tracked vehicle and a foden wrecker. all plans failed as for me the cost is to high.
14. Nice to see progress I love the rivit work, what tools are needed for those? Land rovers use aluminium dome rivits... You guessed it, i want to learn it. Can't wait to see the result on the road. If you go to the war and peace, we can meet up for some talk. Was it you lot who had the WW1 truck stuck in the mud?
15. Might be, i hoped it would have had more days to it. at that rate it is 5 blokes in a land rover 2a and go for three days.
16. Can anybody remember a few things about a show in Eastern Europe that was like the war and peace? Was it Poland where it was held? Who can jog my memory? Thanks, Arjan
17. Also a side note, can i expect anarcy on the last night with theft? Just wondering.
18. Where was the big show in Eastern Eurpoe? If needed i will haul our gear to that show. 33 years of building the war and peace, it cannot be flushed down thr drain i would think.
19. I am Dutch, they wanted me but work home milage was a barrier. now i live in the UK and i am not welcome because of back problems. I can do a desk job
20. It should have been a popular adaption, i hardly find anything on it. I did buy half a reduction box once, a defender used it to pto power a home made pulley on the half of that gearbox bit and that powered the dowty pump for hydrolics of the Mk2 hydro winch. That unit is in my rarities cabinet.
21. I have never seen a bodge with the hex welded on. I have seen years of wear and tear that the small ball was gone. As you know your way with modifications for land rovers, you know anything about a easy shifter?
22. It might be the release bearing, they can melt. Open up the floor panels, remove gearstick and peek in the flywheel housing. You should see the fork move, see if there is plastic molten and check the driver footwell for oil traces and underneath as the slave drips oil in the bellhousing.
23. Lpg Mator, simple solution i wish your daughter well too, i did read what you wrote somewhere else. do i need to bring a spare ignition for you? I should have a few in holland.
24. That's why i say i like to work there, no order to small to get service with a smile. Hi viz looks great on me and once i know my way round things ... If the pay is decent, even for a part time job i am sorted, the daily commute of 1,5 hours single trip is no issue.

Withams

I have only been at Withams once, to help pick up a few defenders that werent road worthy. They did not like us working on the lot to make a runner out of them, afterall a few needed to be driven on and off the ferry. I did how ever leave my phone number for the day he needed a extra man to work for them. Seemed like a nice bunch to work with.
