Because of its proximity to Stranraer and number of empty aircraft hangars, West Freugh has been (and still is) used as a depot for NI vehicles that MOD don't want to put on the ferry. It's quite possible than when it was in "Northern Ireland" it actually sat in a hangar at West Freugh!

Hopefully any ignition noise should be overcome by a few suppressor capacitors. Your design seems sound, have you seen this document?

Some tips for the Trakmark:
Buy a heat gun
Cut some decent sized pieces from the roll and re-roll them in the opposite direction until you need them
Continue the Trakmark round the back of the foam so it won't unstick like the original
Andy
Yes, that's new Trakmark over new foam. Re-trimming the driver's compartment was a very tedious exercise, but the end result makes it well worth the effort.

This is what the completed upper division plate should look like, I just put mine back together over the weekend.
I think Carwood were less than £200 for the re-con last time I used them - I'll send you a PM.

Because they like a controlled charge in terms of voltage or current, and a non-intelligent charger won't provide that. This is what it says on the side of the battery:
Hawker tell me that virtually all "faulty" batteries they've received have been damaged by incorrect charging.
