  1. If the bank is intended to keep water out, does that mean it's an artificial island of some kind? Andy
  2. Is the drawing the final state, or is it an intermediate step? Andy
  3. If done correctly it should be the "date of first use", in this case the date it entered military service. If you can find the V5 it probably has the original Army VRN as the vehicle chassis number. Andy
  4. Ah - I didn't see the number plate under the grime. 1965 it is, then! Andy
  5. Looks like a section through something. A road or drainage channel, perhaps? Andy
  6. OK then, what about the hull number, on a small plate on the outside to the left of the rear door? It's probably covered with paint. Andy
  7. Could well be older than that, they started in 1962. Is there a vehicle plate on the bulkhead to the left of the driver's seat? Andy
  8. Sand? DBG would be a better colour for a Mk.1! :-) Andy
  9. Is it some sort of reinforcement for the turf or whatever behind it? Andy
  10. Methinks the "IDE" in the part number may be a clue to the type of drive! :-) Andy
  11. That should work. Just be careful with the volume in case you deafen yourself! Andy
  12. Yes, I made up cardboard templates first. It's a long and tedious job but the results are worth it. Trakmark is available on eBay from Woods in Devon, but the postage may be an issue as an 80 foot roll is a two man lift. Andy
  13. Be careful, the 3 pin connectors on FV430s are Pin A +ve, Pin B -ve, Pin C n/c. There's obviously more than one 'standard'. Andy
  14. The obvious issue here is that the Kenwood connector is only for a microphone and doesn't have anything to connect the Clansman headphones. Andy
  15. There are some penthouse cables on eBay at the moment if that helps. Andy
  16. I didn't think there were two feet spare to move it, Paul! Nice work, coming on well. Andy
  17. I'll be interested to see how you get on with the trim. For my Abbot I'm using a standard medium-weight upholstery foam, but taking care to wrap the Trakmark round the underside so it can't peel away like the original. I'm using Evostick Impact adhesive, but not in its impact mode. Getting the holes right is a real pain, and the more dimensionally stable the foam is, the better. This is the first panel I did, I like to think I'm improving! Andy
  18. He will probably need something his end as well to import it. Andy
