    Don't forget that you've only got the command end of BATES/LACS. Each gun had its own equipment for receiving and acting on the messages. That may explain the multiple serial ports, perhaps? Andy

    That's probably an SAE30 or something similar. Don't overfill the gearbox, that's as bad as under filling it. There should be instructions on the dipstick! Andy

    As far as I'm aware there isn't a governor on a Mk.1, that's for the Mk.2s with diesel engines. The gearbox uses SAE30 mineral oil, the same as the engine. Andy
