  3. What about this one... Not British though... photo caption had it as "5th Indian Division - Sherman Repair-Taungtha 29 March -1945" I found it on this website http://histomil.com/viewtopic.php?f=338&t=3918&start=2910 Loads of great pics... no idea the original source... Tim
  4. I disagree Condor whilst unable to sail from Poole because of the bad weather (Force 8 ish I think), still sailed from Portsmouth to Guernsey and unloaded their cargo destined for Guernsey at Portsmouth to accommodate the Military Vehicles. They could have sailed with the commercial traffic and left us all on the quay... they didnt... so am unsure why you think we'd still be waiting? Tim
  5. Appears to be stored in a warehouse full of beer... Hopefully not too much will be drunk before welding.

  14. See Tim's earlier post for pics of the bits that were saved... the rest he said went for scrap.
  15. Sorry if this has been seen here before - I did search for mention of "Titchwell Beach" and found nothing... Probably too well gone for restoration of spares? Not mine... borrowed from here... which has some interesting info about WW2 AFV ranges (Boyton and Titchwell) and other mil stuff. http://pdboyinsuffolk.blogspot.com/ Tim
  16. Nice escape hatch... if you ever find yourself not wanting it (unlikely I think) it's on my "needs" list. Tim
  17. When a dog wants to dump it does... how exactly would you stop it... pop your finger up its bum ;-) Tim
  18. Is this the sort of thing you mean? Photo caption is "Safely on the ground - a gun crew of the 33rd Parachute Field Regiment of the Royal Artillery running to unlash their gun" This is zoomed in a bit onto the load - the rest of the pic merely has more parachutes and men. Tim
  19. Hanno Thanks... Multibank may be a joy for the future... But first i want the rest done and driving. I have that book thanks and several other docs from various sources. Am sure it will eventually give me many hours of pleasure... When do we invade the Netherlands again? Cheers Tim
  20. Nice. Looks pretty good on the outside...What's it like inside?
  21. Something dodgy with the way this forum saves the message... they work fine everywhere else I post them. Trying again. http: //the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Sherman_Fireflies.pdf http: //www.afvregister.org/Downloads/M7B2/Brasschaat.htm Remove the spaces between http: and the rest of the text in both.
