  1. This thread has served as good sounding board ,proving we have a editor how will stand and be counted,when there is critisism that can only be good for the MVT .
  2. Had a good look round and managed to get a ignition switch for my munga prodject,for £3 ,so glad i went in after finding my daugter was full price .Good look with future events.

  4. The hulls for a lot of these were new build by company in the Mansfield area ,sothat they could pas the requied regs at the time .The old hulls sat in the yard as paterns so may still be there .This was about 6 years ago when i was servising there fourklift.
  5. You need to ring as web sites tend to list fast moving items, old stock tends to sit in corners till you ask the right person.

  7. Think i have found the problem , The pinch bolt is loose so shoes not expanding. Hope to sort this tonight.Repairs to front floor compleat and primed ,new glass organised through work . May be ready for mot in the next week wether permiting , will post more pics shortly.
  8. Yes it acts as the insulator in the circit ,try yousing rolled pice of wet and dry to releave hole a little.
  9. If the points are sticking you may find that fiber bush has swelled due to oil contaminatin ,The points should open just befor top dead center . Try cleaning the points pivit with fine wet and dry.
  10. Have just come in from welding floor ,pasenger side finished and primed . Thanks for the pic is there an adjuster on the drum for the brake or is it just the cable ,seems as if the shoes arnt moving?
  11. Strugling to get the hand brake to hold has any one a exploded drawing or pics ?,so i can work out if its asembled wrongly thanks .Over the weekend road tested the engine swop on trade plates ,pulls clean in all gears giving 47mph in top with current govenor settings.
  12. You could fit a disc and magnet to the end of the gear shaft, then youse a n/c reed switch positioned to cut the power in the corect park position.

  14. Just had a thourt could it be the porsche contender for the field car contract wone by the dkw munga ,never seen a pic but recall it was rear power and 2w drive.

  17. Just done a check and these are the common numbers RAL 6014 OLIVE GREEN NATO RAL 6012 GREEN POLICE RAL 7008 BEIGE still got to find the base couler on mine ,Re wire started tonight.
  18. RAL then 4 numbers is the paint code yoused by factory .
  19. Not sure what this fits ,but i have a GOOD YEAR 7.50-16 ALL SERVICE in very good condition crack free .Free to a good home.
  20. I have some pics witch show the cross shaft setup if of youse.
  21. Cooling system conected and test run for 2 hours no foult found.
