  1. You can currently get new veg at about 98p L whitch is a saving of around £40 per 100L.

  3. My one regret is parting with the little 401 mog ,i rebuilt it from a reck ,if i can find the pics of how it arrived will post them.

  5. The max towing width has been increased to i beleave 8' 2" witch covers the wider vans coming from europe.Im sure some one will confirn this.

  7. The last aditive i bourt was from a ships chandlers in Grimsby off there ebay shop,i think i payed about £10 with post for 2000l worth.

This may have some bearing on this discution ,my farther was a tanker driver he told me that in the late 60s they changed the cetain rating of diesel by increasing the amount of sulfer alowed in the fuel ,this may have had somthing to do with lubrication of the new rotary pump coming into genral youse.If you add the avalable bug traatments to your fuel it should rejouse problems as i belive they contain inhibiters to protect the pump .

    Heres our multifuler quiet partial to tyer retreds produse good power but youve got to watch for the smuts ,bit slow for the school run tho .

Thers a good deal of info on bio on Difflock fourm if i remember you are alowed 2500 L befor needing to pay duty ,if also covers new veg oil bio diesel and yoused oils .I have run 50/50 veg /diesel with on problems just filter changes at more frequent intavals ,but a £4 filter for a £10 or more saving on a 80L tank makes cence .

The one thing you need to check on the perkins P6 is the type of piston fitted the low speed engine has cast iron pistons with an out put of 50 hp at 1500 rpm max ,the road engine has aloy pistons with 100 hp at 3000rpm max ,there is one other thing to check that is the condition of the vacume govener belows if it has split or gon hard it will not govern corectly hope this is of youse.

Nice looking moters hope to get mine to that standerd one day, found this vertion of the radio shelter on the web wound if any ones seen one befor ,apears to be a late 50s or early 60s build .the unimog club Gaggenau is a good sorce for finding parts, when i rebuilt my last mog they were able to supply some factory drawings for parts i needed to make.also unimog fourm de has a 404 section .
  15. My first thourts are that you are loosing oil presure as the oil and casting worm up ,witch would hint at a worn pump /week releaf valve spring or the oil degrading ,have you tryed renewing the oil

  18. Thanks for the pointer on the caps ,the bush guard is missing so will have to be made ,hope to have it working for the show season along side my R1155 recever and R1154 transmiter .:-D
  19. Thats a Ruggerini powered set ,the Hatz is a far better engine.

Picked up a tidy R109 recever conplet with its canvas cover dated 1944 at the last Newark auto jumble for the bargin price of £15 ,it has had a mains power supply mounted on the spair valve tray ,Have started going trough the set but need to get hold of the test voltages ,can any one with this ,will post pics as soon as i can find my sim adapter.
