  2. Hmm Interesting I heard rumblings of this when i got the bodge from Norway a few years ago from the guy i bought it off (imported it myself). He said exports on vintage military stuff were beginning to tighten up

  8. Do you need a driver for the Sherman at Weymouth now that you CAN'T drive  Why, do you have someone you can reccomend Jack :naughty: Nasty gash ;-) I always think Haynes manuals should have jobs rated by the number of skinned knuckles and plasters required
  9. Yep that's it! Shouldn't be too hard to do... I've got the basic layout set as a template in 'foteeshop', just a case of a new couple of images per month one as a cut-out & maybe a second, jiggle the dates round & there we are. As for member+vehicle it'd really depend on whether they're comfortable with being in it... At the moment i was just working on the vehicles alone. But yes Snap if you want to send us some of your excellent work that'd be ace :-D
  10. un textured or corked would be fine i'da thought for a more 'generic' impression
  11. '43's all the way... easy M43 Jacket M43 Pants (with or without rigger pockets depending on unit) Double buckle booties (or corcorans "held over from last action") tin pot :-D
  12. Oooh nice find It's worth nowt though. I'll give your mate £20 for it but only 'cause I'm generous like that :-D
  13. Do it, send 'em in I'm after vehicles in all conditions from 'Barn Finds' to 'every dayers' to 'perfect' It's not about minters, concourse or ground up rebuilds etc it's about the vehicles we love using/playing with crashing into things It's more "this is who we are & what we do" (my personal preference is for unrestored stuff but that's just me)
  14. Hoping to get something up in the next couple of days
  15. Well as your doctor... i reccommend about 6 days in a field in Kent surrounded by green stuff whilst consuming beer, suncream and dodgy food in vast & equal quantities
  16. Jeez thats rough... Sorry to hear it take it easy and take some time for yourself... 'cobblers' to work, it'll still be there when you get back!
  17. He keeps it in the airing cupboard... just behind the tank :naughty: ithangyou
  18. I've had to compress the crap out of the file to get it to fit but the downloadable version will be much sharper
  19. Along these lines... give or take... Numberplates and incriminating pink cushions can be removed at request
  20. I'll be camping with the mops from tuesday on... but we'll be in amongst it when not sleeping or passed out :-D
  21. We (HMVF) are in the process of putting together an online calendar for the benefit & enjoyment of HMVF members (& anyone else for that matter!). The Calendar will be put together 1 month at a time -2 months ahead IE you can receive/download the August page at the beginning of June. The format will be a downloadable PDF that you can either print off or use as your desktop image on your PC This will give us the advantage over traditionally printed calendars in that we can include those shows that seem to 'pop up' unexpectedly as well as the better known ones and include them more than a calendar printed last December could do!! SO In order for this to be a success I'm asking a couple of favours... (don't worry they're easy!) FIRSTLY If you are organising, or involved in an event & would like us to give it a mention let us know (Names dates, locations etc) and we will include them in the calendar listing SECODNLY (The fun bit) I'm sure we don't want 12 pictures of Jacks Jimmy or my Dodge... So if you'd like your pride 'n' joy emblazoned across the desktops of other HMVF'ers & gracing the pages of the coolest calendar since Pirrelli... From Para-bikes to Cheiftans, horse 'n' cart to Horsa Glider send 'em all! Send us at least 2 good pics & your details and we'll make your green machine a star!
  22. Certainly can :-D I'll get on it...
  23. Nothing stirs the blood quite like the sound those engines make The sound alone is enough to stand the hairs up on the back of your neck
