    from my own perspective , i find it enjoyable working on old vehicles, military ones even more so,plus all the bits that go with them are pretty cool, also i like the camping bit at military shows least when when you go back to work on a monday you feel like like you have done something at the weekend!

    if its like my ferret engine ie exhaust manifold bolts directly on to engine block and air intake carb etc is on other side just get exhaust manifold checked for straitness and if necessary get it skimmed level or get new manifold .

    so for a skim on manifold you would want distance between carb and engine shortened by equal amount? me confused!

    its all on the system they can see if mv is taxed would be a pretty sad copper that did a ferret owner for non display of tax disc , they really should concentrate on bigger issues , but sadly a lot of us thru work are performance /target driven.

    welcome, many moons ago i used to work in a hangar me on s61s also in hangar were raf chinooks and seakings operated by 78 squadron was interesting to see difference between seakings and s61s.

    looks good as new mark ,jd is a star eh! ,must admit when i saw the ferret on its side just as the arena marshall had parked ian and me up i had bit of a cold chill, bloody glad you and the family were ok part from being bashed around a bit ! see you at next show/bbq.
