Thanks Joris for sorting out the video , I'm the new boy on the block with regard to driving large tanks (or SP gun if Mr B is involved ) on the road , we did 10 miles on News years eve and they are hard work !! More mentally as you are always thinking ahead re junctions , stopping ,missing the odd car or lorry etc , so heaven knows what it will be like after 25 miles at A&E in June !!! But looking forward to it .the video footage taken inside was a surprise to me as I didn't know it was being taken !!! And with regard to the slick gear change the M10 has a very easy gear box compared to others I've been told . -

Your M10 is looking good Jens , sorry to hear you had a few problems with yours , we also had a couple of teething problems which are now well and trully sorted and it now goes very well as the youtube video shows , i dont know if you had to rebuild your engines but we had too as they were found to be incomplete and we took the opertunity to upgrade them and the decision payed off !! -

Hi Alastair You would be correct in your thinking re the narrow tracks of Sherman based vehicles off road, im not prepared to mess my silage fields up at this time of year even with the M10 . However if i did get stuck you are forgetting i have a Ward lafrance wrecker tucked up in my work shop for just that very occurence !!! , I took it down the lane Sat afternoon and gave it its first good run out , about 4.5 miles , it went very well . -

Hi Rick , You could probaly say that i only took delivery of it officaly yesterday , its just one of them things with a major restoration , youve got to remember it was a totaly empty gutted hull when Carl started ,and as with house building there is allways a snagging list to be put right after a period of time and W & P was its first outing from the workshop . I took it for a short test drive yesterday afternoon and it is really nice to drive now .Its first outing is News years eve during the day with some of my mates and there vehicles and then bangers and mash back at the farm via the local pub !! Rgds Adrian P.S Hows your Tank coming on Rick , are we going to see it at A&E next year ?? -

Its been a while since our last update mainly because as you know its hopefully being featured in the next CMV magazine . Carl and Peter were down yesterday doing abit of tinkering with it , whilst at the War & Peace show this year a couple of things showed up that needed looking at after the show and I am very pleased to report that they have been looked at,adjusted and Carl even had to get a pair of rubber drive cuplings bespokely made , and its now really nice to drive compared to July and is going really well .It had not been started for probaly 2 and a half months and when Carl started it yesterday it started almost instantly , could you say the same about a petrol Radial ?? There have been other things going on involving Mr Barrell and Mr Clarke but will wait until the article is out before posting any pics . Adrian -
I think that i would rather put a 100K or so into a Sherman project rather than a Chally !! , would be intresting to know what a fully restored one would be worth , what do you think ???

Im still hoping :bow::bow:

Adrian B , you need to get over the issue that my M10 Achilles is not a " TANK " in your eyes !!! the only bit thats different bewteen your tank and my tank destroyer is mine is missing its turret roof and that mine has by far got the better gun , and what could have been better in the summer months than not having a roof !!!! , You also seem to forget mine is called a TANK DESTROYER , and it probaly has the best gun in it of any allied tank in WW2 , far better than your very short barrelled , very low velocity gun that you have in you tank . The first round of drinks at A&E is still with you Mr Barrell !!!!

Hi Jack , Just wondered if you have a time scale regarding a " deal " with Soldier of fortune as i would like to place a order with them shortly for various items for Christmas presents for some friends in readyness for A & E !!! Was it true Jack what i heard on the A & E grapevine that you were giving a bottle of Champs to the best turned out Tank and Crew ??? Rgds Adrian
