Im affraid Ferrettkitt I dont agree with you , there were kids last year roaring around Beltring on motocross bikes pissing most people off ,we all go to W & P to have fun , we didnt pay to go to a moto cross event , the 3 things that most people moan about W & P are the toilets ,the showers and kids on motobikes ,lets hope the marshalls clamp down on them this year !!!

I very much doubt its being cut up for scrap !!! ,If it is then the owner is making a fantastic loss on it,it is very restorable project.

I can assure you that my friends and I wont be staying until 6-30pm Sunday eve ,we have now also got a 70 + mile journey home in WW2 vehicles with Wives and Girlfriends awaiting our arrival home after looking after children all week while the men have been away all week on a jolly to W & P . I arrange for my Low loader to collect my M10 TD at 2-30 Sunday afternoon so that I know it has left before I leave(all safe then) !!! As we have to pay to attend W & P there will not be any one telling me when i can or cannot leave , there is also that small thing of work to attend at 7-30 Mon morning !!!

A friend of mine is thinking of going to France this summer with his military vehicle , what export /import licence would he need ??any help would be gratefully received . Thanks Adrian.

Has anyone had any experience with relining clutches ??? I know you can get brakes relined but not sure about clutches ,ive got a crack in one of my clutch plates running through a rivet from side to side , the linings appear to be bonded onto the metal back as well as riverted on , also forgot to say its a finger type clutch plate as apposed to a round one , Cheers Adrian.

Now that i do agree with , I took my M4 HST upto Damyns Hall in Essex ( I assume its Essex !!) It is the other side of the river from me !!! and the Joe public were a F---ing night mare ,there were probably 12 kids in it with out asking at one point , when in the end I got pissed off with it and told them to get out there parents were not happy , i think that because they had payed to get in then they thought they could do what they wanted . We did love the show so will hopefully go again this year but will rope the vehicles off from the public.

I took the time this morning (late start ) to ring Locktite direct and spoke to there tecnical dept , they were most helpful and recommended there product ,Locktite 480 , and even gave me there local supplyers name and number .After reading the tec data it does seem to fit the bill . The above video reminded me how wet ,windy ,muddy ,cold A&E was !!! much like the rest of the summer turned out to be .

Can any one recomend a glue or bonding agent to stick rubber to metal .I want to stick a rubber donut to a fan drive on a engine . Thanks Adrian.

The principal reason for taking the engine pack out was to replace one of the vibration dampers on the end of one of the crankshafts that had started to fall to bits , and the only reason we checked it was that i had been invited to take the M10 to Belguim to a WW2 show in Sept and we were giving it a good looking over before leaving, so when we found the vibration damper was failing we took the M4 High speed instead , and had a fantastic weekend away .

Not quite a multi bank but a Detroit twin pack last month being lifted out of my M10 with my Ward lafrance .

Looked like a fantastic weekend ,may be one for the calander next year !!

What a good weekend we had at Damyns Hall show , I was contacted at the begining of the year and invited to bring the M10 along to boost the British armour at the show and thats what I did , it was my first time at the show and went with some good friends and a variety of there vehicles ,we all throughly enjoyed ourselves , the facilities were very good inc the loos and beer tent !! , the air display by the Lanc and Spit and Hurri was far better than the W & P offer this year, The weather just couldnt help its self and chucked it down for 20 mins Sunday mid morn but after that the sun kept showing its self and stayed dry, There was a good selection of WW2 Armour inc M18 Hellcat, 2 X Shermans , M10 TD ,M3 Stuart , M4 HST , Daimler armoured car(i think) , various Halftracks , Bren gun carrier ,M8 armoured car , Panzer 3 ( replica) . It was about a 2 hour drive to Damyns from home inc going on the M25 Fri afternoon, but both my Ward and my mates Scammell Explorer behaved them selves both ways and we arrived back at home about 8-30pm yesterday eve after a very enjoyable chilled out weekend with friends , we are looking forward to going next year . Thanks guys for all your help with my question regarding the LEZ , my thoughts are that there shouldnt be a problem driving historic vehicles to Daymns hall for there show in a weeks time , one of the organisers read this post and also contacted me regarding the LEZ ,now thats efficient .From talking to friends that are also attending with there Tanks i think there are at least 7 WW2 tanks that I know of going to be there , what a fantastic weekend in the making , I look forward to seeing you all there , Adrian

Hi Degsy , Well fingers crossed !!! taking it on a test drive tomorrow to see if weve cured the over heating problem , Mike took the head of hoping to find a blown head gasket but it looked fine so replaced it with a new one and refitted the head etc , so Mike has changed the rad that was it for a much bigger one so hoping that will cure the problem !!!

Bloody well said Mark ,The show is what you make in my opion ,and we are all looking forward to it ,We are arriving Sat morn with the M4 High speed and turning up sat afternoon with the Ward and caravan to stay , see you all there !!!
