  1. I beleive my M10 came out of Pounds yard a good few years ago ,it seems one of the few lucky survivors !! and as for the high prices that the corperate companies ask for there redundent vehicles , there only worth what some one is prepared to pay !!!! , i wouldnt want a ex corperate vehicle myself.
  2. I agree with recymech66, how many of you guys that have posted obove me complaining about the owner of the "snatch" landrover actually own a snatch or landrover yourselves ???,im sure its the owners pride and joy and if he uses it to raise money fof Help for heros then hes got my vote , lets just leave it at that .
  3. A further thought for you to consider before jumping in is are you looking for a investment or a toy !!! , in my opinion certain vehicles would be a better investment than others , now you said you dont want to be American but American armour is a pretty sound investment at the moment, you could buy a International M5/M9 halftrack and i think it would be a good investment and a pretty cool bit of kit and they were used buy the british , it would also fit in your garage and you can drive them on the road . If you are considering spending upto 70K then you need to think of it as an investment and you have a vast number of different vehicles to chose from, happy hunting .
  4. A couple of questions for you , no 1 , do you want a wheeled or tracked vehicle ? , no 2 , does it have to fit in the garage ? , the reason i ask is that i co own a Sexton self propelled gun with Carl Brown that we for sale , its tracked and its WW2 , it might just fit the bill , but i dont expect it will fit in your garage !!! P.S We had it at the W and P show this year running around in it all week . Regards Adrian
  5. Forgot to say that it was good to meet you Lee and Ian on Saturday morning ( early Sat morning ).
  6. I think i And my friends might be one of the people that you are talking about that has roped off a large area ,but we are turning up on Saturday with bewteen 15 - 17 mainly WW2 vehicles , and as we are lucky enough to live close enough it makes sense to mark out in time what we need . Regarding the space issue the show seems to be getting more and more popular even though we all have to pay a entry fee !!!!!!!!!! .We are going to try and come over either Mon or Tue eve to put some tents up ,Look forward to meeting some of you at the show .
  7. Just getting the Halftrack ready for A and E this afternoon with help from one of my mechanic friends and thought how times have changed !!! As of 8 oclock tonight it was running very sweet , but with all of this old stuff any thing can happen over night !! , so fingers crossed for A and E .

  12. Im taking my Halftrack down on my mates Scania 8 wheeler roll on roll of lorry , so im sure John would offer any help to recover a dead vehicle from the side of the road as needed assuming that it would fit on the back and dosnt weigh more than 18 tons !!

  14. Engine factoide I was talking to the engine builders today and they rekon that the pair of engines with all the new internals ,new 4 valve heads and up rated injectors should develop around a combined 440 horse power ,a good increase over the original spec and hopefully alot less smoke !! Adrian
  15. Just wondered if any one new what size the wheel nuts are on a Reo as i dont seem to have the correct size socket in my 3/4 drive Draper socket set !! and if any one knows what size the square is that undos the inner wheels , any advice would be appreciated , Thanks Adrian

  18. Hi all , Dont no wether you can help me at all ,do any of you know where i can find the vin or chassis no of my REO M35A2 truck ,there arnt any data plates in the cab ,but i wondered if any numbers would be stamped into the chassis any where ? im trying to fill in a V62 Form to get a reg document from the DVLA that never turned up from the previous owner when i brought it last year !!! Thanks Adrian .
  19. Evening Jack , Thanks for the swift reply , im sure theres more work involved than we can imagine , more tees to cross and eyes to dot to get 30 ton tanks running around on the public highway . If it makes it any more worth while , the people that i have spoken, and that includes 2 tank owners about A and E are very much looking forward to the weekend , it will be great to get 10 WW2 tanks all in the same field and even better in convoy to Dorchester . Keep up the good work , Thanks Adrian .

  22. A quick update from last week , we have decided to get the specialist Detroit engine firm that we visited last week to rebuild both the engines upto long blocks c/w new 4 valve heads , new pistons , rings and liners and new fuel pump/injectors ,Hopefully Carl delivered both of the stripped down engines to Horsham today , so hopefully within about 4 weeks they will be rebuilt and ready for collection !!
