  1. From what I have read before it is not a major drama http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?31371-Impoting-from-Norway-to-the-UK&highlight=importing+norway the main issue is the correct paperwork for dvla. I am sure one of the locals will add in the step by step process

  3. Well my 4th trip to the UK this year. Some more progress, with most the front blasted but still waiting on some bigger parts to arrive Marked up some holes that need filling or making:nut: This is the rather crude way that factory Acmat filled the original indicator light positions. I asked for these to be welded in so we don't end up with another water collector

  12. All the original kit was rubbish way back when. I remember when the cams were first issued every part of that kit was absolute junk. If you pulled a thread on the clothes a sleeve would fall off. The khaki boot eyelets would fall out and the plastic clips on webbing would break. The most annoying part was the trial equipment was good stuff.... the issued stuff must of been bought from the 2 buck shop. Another memory... the cam material was so thin the mossies ate you alive. Solution was to soak in an insectcide which many had an allergic reaction to.
  13. Well at least you don't have to wait on my spare cab to arrive for some correct mirror mounts "maybe" next month it may leave France :nut:

  16. As we got a thread about old tools I thought I'd put up some photos of some new tools I got last week, basically 2 mini welders and a roller cabinet. So I had to spruce up the top box I now have tool sets on 3 continents :undecided:
  17. In '85 just before I joined the Army I lived in a gold mining town called Kalgoorlie, where my parents still reside. In the '80's before accountants took more control of companies, the mining firms would chuck anything out that, even if it was something really minor. So I spent many a fine weekend trip at the mines tip picking up all sorts of weird tools. Often you would get a stack of one tool with different bits broken and you could usually piece together a few. With electrical tools often they just needed a fuse or brushes. My favourites was a box of hammers where I have the smallest ball pein to the biggest with the biggest I later learnt was bigger than the official sizes and all were extremely old. They are all in a my Army footlocker at my folks place until I get home. All favourites as all needed work and were free
