2. My bad.... this is the completed one.... he has lots of pictures http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?37823-HSC-MKII-Restoration-USA
3. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?37819-HSC-Restoration&highlight=humber+scout+car there is another restoration thread in here also
4. You cant ask people at RTR such technical questions :nut:. The first tanks were infantry support, I don't know if they ever shot at another tank during WW1? A tank that is designed to kill tanks is a tank killer M10, Stug etc and people go to great length to point that out. So if we follow the WW1 definition, infantry support a CVRT could be a tank If we follow RTR's post modernistic reinvention of the tank "is a vehicle designed for combat against other AFV's", a M10, a Stug or even a Land Rover with a 106 recoilless is a tank! Oops I forgot this tank as also meets the description
5. I know the feeling... I inspect welds all the time as part of my job, but can't weld at all! Mind you it is funny when at times you know more about a weld than the welder. I have a standard welder (brand new) and a TIG machine. I keep saying I want to do some TIG practice as to me the process appears similar to silver soldering or brazing where the filler, if required is dabbed in. I will have to have a play next weekend. At about 4.31 it shows the filler going in
6. The "Equipement Acmat" is from flat tray rear body types A new rear floor
7. A bit of jigsaw playing. It is interesting to note that the newer model cabin is significantly wider.
8. It turns out the rear tray was extremely rotten underneath :embarrassed:
9. http://www.mudah.my/Duro+mawag+6x6-35301992.htm in Malaysia but damn cheap at that price
10. That's normal, even pretty much today as the lift or pull is created on the curved side. You can get some more twist in some blades but I doubt in ww1 they were doing that.
11. You need to get it out more often I been travelling to Aus, trying to sort the mess out that my brother created and has put my parents in the cr@p. Just waiting to board the silver plane back to Malaysia now. Be good to see some new piccies
12. just realized its been over 2 years since I bought the Acmat
13. says "where they used crowbars and sledgehammers to open the 6ft tall safe" seems targeted, as opputunist wouldn't be carrying around crowbars and sledge hammers. It would be interesting to know if the safe is visible to the public or behind closed doors. definitely the world is far less civilised than 100 years ago

Safety

Yeah it is pretty gruesome. I mainly brought it up as I never thought this could happen and also I tend to leave these things laying around. There was two similar incidents recently, one was another swallowing which was fatal and another with a cheap toy watch where the sweat in the nighttime completed a circuit which resulted in severe burns overnight

Another battery incident with a good explanatory video http://www.kidspot.com.au/warnings-after-another-battery-swallowing-tragedy/
19. I think series III's had screw jacks. Some had boxes under the bonnet and the jack handle clipped under the bonnet. With Antennas are you talking wing mounted or rear side mounted? Someone will have piccies of the exact positioning wiring etc
20. I have to explain in detail I am an Aussie living in Malaysia when buying stuff as all this scamming hurts us overseas buyers. I think stating I am an Aussie but living overseas, lessons the negative Aussie impact :-D especially after the cricket etc But Malaysia is not much different from Nigeria on the scamming side
21. This might be the cause of all the confusion. Not Lauren's comment Positive to negative is current flow Negative to positive is electron flow (electrons, being negatively charged, flow in the opposite direction to the direction of conventional current flow in an electrical circuit) Pretty sure the sparkies didn't figure out electron flow until mid 20th centuary. Kinda makes you wonder how everything worked when the original concept was wrong. This is why we have a left hand and right rule for the magnetic field direction. All in all a quirk of electrical history
22. What Mk was the one that sold in Finland recently?
23. As discussed, found them :-)
24. have a good trip..... Looking forward to the next installment
