  1. Interesting as there is an American company that made toe tractors "mercury industrial truck" from Chicago But yours would be "Mercury Truck and Tractor Co" http://tractors.wikia.com/wiki/Mercury_Truck_and_Tractor_Co. As you said very few pictures floating around, where is the green one from?
  2. Duxford is the biggest aviation museum i assume in the uk. Any pictures as everyone in here is curious types? Especially if old and new photos. So it didnt go off?
  3. I ended up getting a set of these newer model Acmat seats for a decent price PS forgot to mention the cab in post #117 is purchased and awaiting shipment to the UK
  4. Snorkel is on the right so should be a 300tdi I think they are military rims as they fitted them to pinzgauer and 110's. Never seen them that i can recall on a 90. I was told the purpose of the alloy rims was to reduce some weight as the 110's were heavily overloaded. If are mil spec rims there is a lot of cash in them A lot of miles
  5. I really need to find a job in sa.... you seem to have all the fun.
  6. In the book I have: - 110 was VIN LA930435 onwards - 130 was VIN LA930546 onwards my book doesn't mention 90's but a dig around the net suggest the changeover was around 1990. But I would give that a pinch of salt as out my way only 300tdi's had disc rear ends.
  7. Gday and welcome..... seems very slow over there to get these type of things done
  8. A Cromwell http://motorgraphs.motorfilms.co.uk/catalogsearch/advanced/result/?name=cromwell
  9. What colour is it underneath the black? Keep an eye out for cracking around the hinge points on the bonnet, door hinges and door locks as was common on the f series trucks because big bits of metal are getting slammed shut. Really annoying when you close the door and the lock falls in to the bottom of the door. You may want to be careful sanding the doors and side of wings as may have been marked with a serial number or "official use only". When i seen this the vehicle was white and numbering blue from memory and if green the lettering is black
  10. some interesting vehicles.... ww1 era for the one on the right? https://www.flickr.com/photos/75942122@N05/14012864151/in/pool-1046910@N20/

I got to play with them quite a lot as one was in a museum in Bullsbrook in Western Australia and then on my aircraft fitters course we had a few as training aids.
  14. Someone here at work thought maybe king pins. I suppose not much use unless you need one. I know a bloke that restores old things, including Acmats, he may find a use for them ................ one day
