  1. Yes & not without checking, but I’d assume pin A is live.
  2. Hi Lance, I’ve had 3 Spartans and none of them had anything plugged in there. Chris
  3. I bought a NOS one at War & Peace a few years ago. It was a shame to open the box. There are some good Jeep parts dealers on the continent. https://www.jeepsudest.com http://www.classicjeepparts.com/sv/ http://www.wildenbergparts.nl
  4. Have you tried here? https://staman.nl/socket-wo-a-6019.html
  5. I think he means in the online auction ending tonight.
  6. Have you seen volume 2 on Amazon?! Warpaint: Colors and Markings of British Army Vehicles 1903-2003, Vol. 2 (Green Series, Vol. 41) by Dick Taylor (2008-06-02) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01K14LI96/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rOL9EbSY6ZY2S
  7. Have you seen the Greendot 319 videos on YouTube? I don’t think you’ll know until you have the parts in your hands and try them out.
  8. The height also depends on which size tyres are fitted!

  10. The hardest thing seems to be finding one that’s not been messed about with too much. Usually they have big wheels, a v8 or tdi, coil springs, etc etc. I’m doing one at the moment which was supposed to be a quick project but it’s full of little bodges and they all add up.
  11. It’s much easier to find what you need when you a) know what it’s called and b) can quote the part number. https://www.greenmachinesurplus.com/vehicle-manuals-1-c.asp Some dealers only work with part numbers.
  12. If you look up the item numbers on the parts list associated with the drawing you posted it will tell you what they are?
  13. There is an adjuster on the side of the steering box. If that doesn’t help you could get one of these: https://www.jeepsudest.com/boutique/25-direction/2816-tightsteer-reducteur-jeu-boitier-direction-jeep/ or do it properly and rebuild the steering box. Chris
  14. Hi Paul, You need to get a letter stating date in service from the Tank Museum. It’s probably easier to use the military registration number for the VIN since there isn’t one or a hull number stamped anywhere. Then it’s the usual registration process. Chris
  15. I chose to do my Jeep in the original wartime matt paint so it would wear and gain some patia. Marked where you touch it etc. I think they look wrong with shiny, but it’s up to you.
  16. I know I’m hijacking the Dorset thread, but here’s the wording: Maybe they’ll carry the tickets over to next year.
  17. They don’t need to, the terms and conditions says no refunds.
  18. A TUL/TUM(HS) Wolf has the tools on the bonnet. Earlier vehicles had them on the tailgate.
  19. The first 3 photos are all the same MV spares kit. I used one from Dallas and it was very good. Chris
  20. When we were shopping for a J60 to put in our Fox we went to a shed with literally hundreds of them, stacked 2 in a stillage, there must have been over 100 stillages. We were there for several hours before we managed to pick out 5 which didn’t have holes in the side. The 3 in the photo were the ones we ended up with, 2 were seized and one went in the Fox. I’ve never blown one up, but the photo below was taken at Folkestone a few years ago, the engine was in a Sabre at the time.
  21. I can’t find a good photo, but you can see the cable on the take out engine on the left of this photo.
  22. Yes, clipped up above the flywheel and bolted to the hull near the alternator.
  23. I would think the exhaust pipe is Challenger 2 (CR2) and possibly part of a desert mod kit (Oman)
