Teach me about spraying......

Something I think is very important is to stir the tin of paint very well before thinning and using in the spray gun, not just 10 or so times with a screwdriver, but stir it properly with a piece of thick wire with a loop at the end, long enough to reach the bottom of the tin put this in an electric drill outside in the fresh air, do this for as long as possible 5 mins or until the paint is thoroughly mixed up. This will give much better future mixes as the tin of paint will remain mixed up and do this every time you want to use that colour.

The most important thing also is to get a water trap between the compressor and pressure regulator this is to stop water vapour getting to the spray gun as spray guns use lots of air you will start to get tiny blobs of water in the painted surface if you dont have one.
