kpu121265
I have one, but don't want a fight just yet. It needs an engine and most of the internals (seats, turret basket, controls, breech (although have the main gun) etc etc etc. Ken

snowtracdave
Can you tell me what the vehicle is in the bottom photo seen just behind the wrecker please - it looks like it could be one of the RMC airportable 2CV's . Or a replica thereof .
kpu121265
That image was taken at the MVT Wings and Wheels event at Elvington last year. It was some sort of 2CV based Royal Navy something. I did talk to the chap, i'm afraid i can't remember if it was original or not. He seemed to spend a lot of time driving around to shows with it, for some reason i think he came from 'down south' somewhere (that is down south from Leeds where i am). If it is of special interest, let me know as we are going to Elvington again in May this year for the show - so can get his details, or some mroe info if he is there..... snowtracdave
Sorry to go off topic here folks - Thanks Ken I'll look out for it when I'm out & about . As far as I knew there were no survivors so it's probably a recreation . Might even be a friend of mine finally got round to doing it ! [mods please feel free to remove my post here in order to tidy up this thread] Edited February 7, 2009 by snowtracdave

snowtracdave
Yes - they were one of Major John Chatfields' babies along with developing the SnowTrac for use by the marines . I wondered if maybe Phil Chatfield had built a replica as he spoke about doing it at one time . Got pic of one on board Bulwark (I think) somewhere . D.
