Adam Elsdon Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) This was aired on our local TV news recently. Picture the scene, an oil company supply yard, a few like minded individuals are working the graveyard shift and are bored after having read the six month old FHM four times over, and cant face another cup of coffee....when they remember the 360 slew digger is out in the compound. Oh yeh! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ju8m4Y2Hf6w Edited January 23, 2009 by Adam Elsdon Quote
radiomike7 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Don't see the problem, he was wearing a hard hat, high vis vest, steel toe boots and a safety harness:) Quote

Stormin Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I guess those guys are now joining the few million looking for work! Quote
N.O.S. Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 He was getting mighty close to that row of containers - reckon H&S might have something to say about increasing the stand-off zone........ Quote
Stormin Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Think I'd rather be watching than the man being swung around. Don't think I'd trust anyone to be driving and not plant me into those containers. Wouldn't want to be the first human wrecking ball. Quote
antarmike Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 If a Chair-o-plane is concidered safe, I can't see the problem. Quote
croc Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 It wasn't so much the act of swinging on the digger that was funny, it was the coverage it got on the news. Quote
Swill1952xs Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 If you want to experience this legally.............try going to Diggerland in Kent or the one near Exeter. They have a bucket on a thirteen ton? digger that seats eight. It depends on how evil the driver's feeling as to what sort of ride you get. The Exeter one was called "Spin Dizzy" I didn't go on it; and although it looks fairly tame, those who did ride on it said it was surprisingly exhilarating. Quote
