Jack
Folks - does anyone know the rules and regs of open fires or wood/coal buring stoves at show? Best wishes. Jack.
Jessie The Jeep
I think it depends on the individual show, the organisers and location. I don't know of any preset regulations. Open fires is probably a no-no; stoves, BBQ's etc are probably ok. Steve
andreadavide
I suppose it all depends on the show site and local dispositions. But common sense tells me that open fires and vehicles don't mix very well. Military stoves may be acceptable, again according to the health and safety ar$e coverers around.... Tony B
Military Oddity allow open fires, or at least the showground must, MOD ground has an absolute ban. Some shows will allow barbeques some not. Ground type and weather conditions are important, can't see anyone with an ounce of nounce allowing open fires on peat ground in a drought. Jack
Many thanks and what I am trying to find out is that we will be supplying the M1941 tent stoves for the small wall tents etc etc but I rather they were used rather than a feature....... cripp
Plenty of open fires at W&P. There is an insert available for that stove Jack, to make it a fuel burner rather than a wood burner.

Tony B
the alternative is find something about the size of a Nescafe catering tin and make a Hobo stove.
