Stormin Posted October 24, 2008 Share Posted October 24, 2008 Just got the head off look at all that soot any thoughts.By the way all damage to the Gasket is all my doing it looks fine otherwise Doesn't look too bad to me, for an old engine. Maybe check for cam and valve gear wear and then carb settings on rebuild to get a cleaner burn. morris c8 fat Posted March 6, 2009 Author Share Posted March 6, 2009 Ok at last a quiet day with good wether so I bit the bullet bodged the compresion tool and got the No2 inlet valve out here is whats left of the guide the inlet has a bit of a bur on one side but no sign of wear?now who has a spare guide or two lurking in the spares box?
