Cushman 53
Late August 2020, we are waiting on a trolley being made so we can pull the chassis out into the open to spray it green, meanwhile in no particular order we are unwrapping parts and finally getting things in green. We would have hoped to have a rolling chassis sooner, but the Covid situation put us back a bit! We sheeted over the chassis and made our spray booth there.
Cushman 53
This weekend we managed to get the chassis into daylight to get some paint on it, hopefully soon we will start to put parts back on. 4

Cushman 53
Thank's DT guy, we do have a Hercules spare engine if we ever do decide to put that in, but we will be staying with the diesel for now, thank's for the offer though. Scammell4199
Cracking work. I like the shade of OD too, where you getting it from?
Cushman 53
Hi Scammell4199, the paint is a mix we had made to our requirements, its a semi matt finish so should not mark as easily as matt OD
Cushman 53
Nothing too interesting at the moment! Cleaning original washers by hand and priming whilst waiting on parts. Thanks to The DT Guy for the advice.
Phil Whiting
Them washers are pretty chunky 🙂
Jonny Garwood
Hi Phil, I used patio cleaner in the end to clean the washers, there was about 80 altogether. once they had been soaked for a couple of hours I just washed them in water then used a wire brush then primered them. Waiting on sleeving for the airlines at the moment which I hope will arrive this week.
Cushman 53
With the Covid situation we were unable to carry out much work to the project, a few parts were cleaned at home ready to be fitted, we are waiting for the go ahead so we can get to Belgium to pick up rear springs so we can have a rolling chassis, whilst waiting we have been fitting air lines and valves and hand brake and cleaning and painting parts ready for assembly, in no particular order!
