fv1609
One side for No1's the other for No'2 :dunno: Yes Lee, well done & very tastefully put. Game over. It is a 1921 Hindu Latrine, religious/cultural customs required that No.1 & No.2 should be kept separate. The covering was just sacking to keep the flies out. fv1609
well...I'll be blowed! bit off subject, Well it has been unkindly said most of my posts will either be about Humbers or latrines. The object that caught my eye was is Manual of Military Hygiene 1921 24/Gen.No./6529. In many campaigns the British Army have lost more casualties to hygiene related disease than enemy action. But I find that these aspects of soldiering far more fascinating than guns & uniforms. :shake: (I am not a subscriber to the pit latrine newsletter, I think 177 subscribers are enough!) I think it might be a bit inhibiting to use, unless you get up very early before the public start arriving.
