:-D Fine vehicle young man - where and when ?

Battle, east sussex Hight Street, Leading a parade of 'all things British',......(a local tourist attraction/shop, called Yesterdays World, had recently opened an extention, and wanted to hold an event showing elements from history,.................so I (and a couple of guys on foot,) represtented british wwii tommy, others as street urchins/children etc, edwardians, ..that kinda thing. :-))

Felt it was a bit OTT really, but they were happy, so, thats the main thing, I guess...........

Oh,....1st July '07.

(anyone interested in the shop, there's one coming to Beltring,........SOON)

Hi mate;

spares, (mech), try the following........I've used both and they are both OK.

John Morter,

Vintage Military Vehicle Spares, (bedford, mainly) 01953 602581 (norfolk)

Norman Aish,

Bygone Bedford Bits, 01202 745117 (poole, dorset).

Can also try Pete Gaine, 07831 138408.

Hope these are of some help. :-)

All the best,

Andy

The old girl is a real credit to you Andy . :tup:

Cheers, Dave.

Can't take all the credit, though,..............I got her in very good condition, certainly paint wise;..............my contributions have been the markings and 'micky mouse' cammo.

her history,.....well certainly since de-mob, that I've been told about, is that she is one of two, used in the film Battle of britain. Mine was used minus canvas and painted A/force blue,(there are still traces of blue overspray, and one of the bonnet undersides is blue,) she was shown 'in camera', in the shot after the bombing of the air field, when Susan Hampshire was helped into the back of it. (I've no reason to doubt this, unless anyone knows different. :-))

Would be great to find her wartime history, though.
