fesm_ndt
Thanks for all the info. I was planning on going down on Wednesday but I have to go to Middleborough Monday and Leicester on Wednesday. The good part is I will keep the company car and scoot down on Thursday. If anyone needs anything carried down between Cambridge and all these locations let me know as can chuck in the sedan
Great War truck
Supposed to be quite muddy there today. Anybody there who can confirm what the conditions are like?
fv1609
Not too bad at all Tim. Relatively few difficult patches. Straw laid in many patches and sunny day has greatly alleviated previous problems.
.303fan
A belgium plated lorrie got stuck at the entrance, on the bit going to Kitcheners field i helped push a family car out of the mud.. A series 3 land rover with two bald tyres up front did good. I have seen worse on a show ground but fun makes up for most
Great War truck
OK. A bit of a scorchio day due tomorrow then so I guess I will leave the wellies at home.
Marmite!!
OK. A bit of a scorchio day due tomorrow then so I guess I will leave the wellies at home. Wellies for the weekend needed I think. After a week of scorching temperatures, parts of Britain look likely to have to put summer on hold as torrential rain sweeps in. A severe weather warning has been issued for much of the country on Saturday, with the Met Office predicting heavy, thundery showers, frequent lightning and hail may develop everywhere except Scotland, Northern Ireland and the west of Wales. It said "significant flooding" is possible from surface water and smaller rivers.
Lauren Child
We need photos and tales of vehicular debauchery folks. Some of us are stuck at home!
ajmac
Good luck to everyone at the show this year, especially my carrier friends, sorry that I can't make it but the wife is under the weather so I have to look after my daughter. Post some good photos please :cheesy:
Toner
Good luck and have fun to everyone going down.
Scarab
Shame if it rains on Saturday, it's the only day I can make it down. However I do rather like the idea of having the stalls to wander round without masses of people, many a bargain to be had in the rain! fesm_ndt
I'm leaving Cambridge in the wee hours tomorrow morning, so finally I get to W&P. I need to photograph everything :-D
N.O.S.
We need photos and tales of vehicular debauchery folks. Some of us are stuck at home! What rotten luck - to drop into a wet patch when all the towing/winching vehicles have cleared off south!
Great War truck
Just got back from an excellent day out at W&P. We had to go on the Wednesday this time due to other commitments so some vehicles had not yet arrived. Still, there was a lot of interesting stuff to keep me entertained. Almost complete absence of mud. Favourite was the Pierce Arrow. I had known of this one for years but had never seen it: Here are some more favourities: Film prop for Fury. Lauren Child
Awesome thanks! It looks like a really good year. I have to ask, does anyone know what the seat on the front of the C8/P is for? I've seen it a couple of times, and I can't decide whether it's usable or stowed.

Great War truck
I stirred up a right old storm last year when I posted photos of "UN" vehicles. I promise not to do that this year so I have posted some photos of some replica military vehicles and some other oddities. If you don't have a sense of humour you might not find some of these to your taste: Land Rover chassis?
