Scotch Harry
Always led to believe that they were 2 different boots-the Commando SV and the Cold Weather?
WCMatt
I used to have a pair of ammunition boots with a very similar sole. Didn't have all those screws in them, though. I was told that the lug sole was put on by the P/O who attempted to use them as work boots. wish I had kept them now. Matt
ted angus
Those boots were issued to certain RAF ground engineering trades; They were issued to Squadrons and Flights and then signed out on a loan card by individuals, on posting they had to be handed in. I always wore mine with sea boot socks , great footwear for those miserable winters on airfields in UK & Germany. We always refered to them as TROG boots ! arvp57
Always led to believe that they were 2 different boots-the Commando SV and the Cold Weather? On the left, boot SV dated 1945; on the right boot CWW dated 1953.
