Cyclone303
Hello all, Does anyone have any close up pictures of the British blackout lights they used to replace the headlights? Also if anyone can point me in the direction of someone selling them? Chris

79x100
Don't forget that for the first year or two of the war, masks were improvised with black manila paper. It doesn't come easier and cheaper than that. The motoring press regularly had letters from private motorists complaining that they'd been reported for non-approved masks whilst the army continued to use paper on existing vehicles. thedawnpatrol
Hi Jules, Do you have an email address or website for him? Chris Chris, look on MILWEB under 'Paint' and he will be there, otherwise just Google 'WARPAINT' Jules
wally dugan
CHRIS the practise of painting out the lights on vehicle was done early in the war until proper metal covers became available normally they used black paint straight on to the glass leaving a slit or triangle or as been said a circle of thick paper the attached shows it in use just like johns Bedford there was a booklet on the subject of blackout measures issued by the government
