John Pearson
Stupid question but !!!!!!!!!! why do they have 1 spare wheel/tyre on a tracked vehicle ? Tracked vehicles also carry spare wheels for themselves: the rubber tears off the wheel rim sometimes. I know, it has happened to mine!
ajmac
Tracked vehicles also carry spare wheels for themselves: the rubber tears off the wheel rim sometimes. I know, it has happened to mine! Too true John, many wartime Loyd photos show the 6pdr wheel replaced by a carrier wheel, as two loyds were required per gun, they would have had two spare 6pdr wheels! The Bedford Boys
There's about 10 in NZ alone that I know of. 4 of which would be classified as restoration projects. The other 6 are restored runners.

The Bedford Boys
#23, the owner of this I believe does not have another in parts. I will find my pics of the Loyds in NZ and send them to you when I get the chance.
Alex van de Wetering
Alastair, So, 11 and 15 are not one and the same? http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?19549-Loyd-Carrier/page5 I believe "11" is part of the exhibits of the Belgian "For Freedom museum" in Knokke-Heist. Someone able to confirm? "06" looks like the one previously owned by "MrDodge" as seen on MLU. Is the Belgian CATI you viewed in Brussels the only survivor? ajmac
Alex, you are correct about the MrDodge link, at least in my opinion, all the paint marks on the sides match the one shown on mlu with the Pz turret fitted. Thanks for the info on No11, however I don't think No12 is the same one as No15, the upper armour is one piece and none standard, bobs had the correct two part item, I've got a photo of bobs when he owned it. David I
Hi All. Des anyne knw which Loyd used to be on display at Myerton Motor Museum, Aberlady during the Seventies? It seemed to be complete, and if I remember correctly had a tilt fitted, so I presume that it will still be a complete vehicle. It had gone before the Mutch collection was auctioned off I think. Dave.
ajmac
Dave, There are a few 'lost' Loyds, I have not seen a photo of the one you saw in a restored state, has anyone got one? The budge collection had a mint TT, who knows where that ended up.
