A brilliant weekend.

At our camp site we had a great mess tent set up to eat our meals in and socialise.

Chef ives provided superb food for the weekend and it was lovely waking up to a cooked breakfast.

BIG thank you to tony and pete for a great weekend.

May the force be with you yoda!!!!:D

I just turned up for the Saturday as I'm only 16 miles away. Not a lot of public but a very convivial day in the sunshine. The first event this year for me where rain has not played some sort of role in the proceedings.:D

Spent Sunday sorting the wobble on the Pig & today packing it for GDSF tomorrow.

Many thanks to Tony & Phil for their efforts on the day & in their work planning the event. I hope the Bank Holiday Saturday at the Museum is repeated, it's a nice little jaunt for me yet a full blown show for the whole weekend is a no-no with GDSF so close.

Looks like it was a good one, makes me all the more upset to have missed it, but when I woke up at 3 sat morning, it was raining, at 4 it was bouncing off the road, the prospect of travelling 155 miles in a stripped down landrover somehow didnt appeal!!

Can I say publicly sorry to everybody about my no show

What a great event !

It's the 1st time I have attended and will definitely be going again.

A warm welcoming group excellent mess tent and hot tea just when you need it.

Thanks David !

It's the 1st time my son has attended a military event also and we all had a great time .

The pictures are brilliant.

When I get some time I will add the ones I took of the convoy from the roof hatch of the Snatch.

A big thanks to all

Colin

:undecided:....well if it hadn't have been for my poorly departed Dad, (unexpectedly, early morning on the 9th) both he and I would have joined you all in my saracen.... so I shall be looking forward to next years event with renewed enthusiasm.... It looks as if it was an enjoyable time had by all....

kind regards,

Matt

To frends old and new at the plains weekend a big , also to all the organisers who put in the time and toil to make it happen once again.

Chef Ives for keeping us fed and watered (the less said about the incomming salvo if cereal bars the better) with his assistant Kim and portion control Rambo who also kept the vehicles safe by patroling with the dog at the museum (she hasn`t been the same since eating the digestive biscuits)

Now after the drive on the plain feeling has returned to me rear end :-X

Thanks again to all see you next year.

Ashley

Just got back from GDSF so quite MV'd out after ten days of it.

Thanks to you all for making it a great weekend. Pete and Kim have put some videos on U-Tube, mostly taken from the passengers seat in the Matador (sorry about the monotonous drone of the engine) : http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF4896C1BA098FBA5.
