Jerrycan butty boxes

Some novel idea's, I once see a Jerry can with a big subwoofer speaker in it, it was made so well you would have missed it unless it was pointed out to you.

I like the idea of the door in the side, would make a cool looking beer cooler! :cool2:

Also nice to see what's inside them, like the USA one, I didn't realise the filler tube was that long.

I would do one for a hidden tool box, What else could they be used for?

Cheers

Shaun

quite clever ideas

maybe a good lock box for stuff left in the MV, lap tops, gps etc. But would also have to be bolted down as jerry cans have always been an easy target.

Thats got me thinking.

A lockable one would fit quite nicely in the can holder above the shunt box in my 109 FFR.

Could be secured to the holder with 4 bolts welded to an external plate clamping onto the stand base. Nuts inside so it cannot be readily removed.

OK you could not hinge it the seam but I am sure something can ge done which does not look out of place.

BBQ!

I have one I ground the handle off, sliced it around the seam weld, welded hinges and a toggle-clamp onto. I then welded one half of the handle back on (left the other half free to open past the handle), so it looked original and still fitted a jerrycan rack!

Frame inside with a grille.

Tons of space for BBQ, storage for utensils and extra charcoal!

Going to modify it so that 4 legs made of conduit store inside the lid but can be slotted into tubes welded into the can for adding extra height (its a bit heavy with 2 bricks inside it for feet :-D:-D

Pics to follow when I dig it out of hibernation........ :cool2:

Ok, I understand.

I must admit I have a WW2 Brit, water jerrycan.

It had a bullit hole through it and I added another 3 holes by punching holes through it...

Yes, they were made by Sandrik, only for the SS. I have 1 in my collection.

BUT in the 90's the same factory replicated them so beware when buying.

There are differences though so you can see which one is fake.
