Hello to everyone,

at first thank you for the warm welcome.

My Name is Peter and I'm living 20km from Dortmund.

During the years some DKW Munga and several Landrover where on my way.

Until yet the old Landys are my favourite Cars.

Because it's better to have a Car without electronic components than with.

I learned to love them during the time I worked for the army at Bergen Belsen, Fallingbostel, Münster and Dortmund.

Until the next time

Regards

Peter

Welcome a lot of memebers reminising about your fair country at the moment.

Hi Peter, I did my army service in Germany (1956-58) REME Tank workshops (5 Armoured Wksps, 6th Armored Div, Hamm Westphalia. I and several of my army buddies payed a return visit to Hamm in 1989, we had a wonderful reception from the Burgermiester and the town council who put on a reception for us......... it was featured in the local newspaper. We all had a wonderful time in Germany in the 1950s. I still meet with my army buddies each year here in the UK, in fact our reunion this year takes place in two weeks time. Welcome to the forum.:kissoncheek:
