Not me Robin, too much hassle to undo it - depending on which method you prefer. Not a huge gain, maybe a few mpg. I only do about 500 miles a year so the fuel saving would be minimal. I have never had a problem with wind up.

What are you trying to achieve? Save fuel, prevent wind up, cant get some spare parts?

Can i run a ferret (on tarmac) with front driveshafts removed ??

dated 26-02-10 to 4-03-10

 

and no-one 'fessed up to doing it so that tends to re-enforce the general view that it's not such a good idea.
