Rick W
As posted on the Militarch website. A selection of images from The Aerial Reconnaissance Archives (TARA) now held at the Royal Comission of Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland has been published today in the Daily Mail. A great selection of high quality images, slightly let down by a couple of factual errors in the text. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1230025/Google-Earth-Second-World-War-Amazing-aerial-images-taken-daring-Allies-revealed-Hitlers-weapons.html?ITO=1490 TARA is on ongoing project, and links to google maps showing which sorties and images have been scanned and catalogued so far are available from http://aerial.rcahms.gov.uk/worldwide/ I havent tried it yet so dont know if the links work.:coffee:

Smithy
Cheers for these Rick. Wasn't there something a couple of years ago where there were some pictures found taken by Spitfires of the actual D-Day beaches while the landings were taking place?
