  1. What does the plate (if you have it ) on the Jib/crane say, because chassis no 5343 is later than both my ones and they are early 44.
  2. Well I am 29, and are involved in some comitty work here in Denmark, but the cost of storage and having vehicle might be the reason why, not that many, young people do not have vehicles. The only reason why I can have the vehicles I do, is that my father has farm where I can store them. But I would not give up hope with young people, I have 17 year old friend who has just bought a GMC 352, but we also have to show and take care people are shown these vehicles and maybe help out with a restoration so it can spark an interst.
  3. As Ed mentions the chassis number schould be in the area next to the front fuel tank bracket. On my ones it is written with pretty big letters.
  4. There is a Sherman M74 recovery in Denmark being restored with the engine from a Renault Magnum and its gearbox.
  5. Hi From the papers I have and the frame number it schould be from april 44. I have only found these numbers on the caburetter, and bike are not my strong side, so if you have a picture of how it is suppose to look and be placed please post. Is the correct caburetter then an Amal 1J or what is it called?
  6. thanks Vincent I hadnt spotted that the lower chain guard was missing. I was planing to order some of the incorrect or missing parts from Draganfly soon. I am still on the look out for the correct speedo for it. cheers
  7. is this better I will be looking forward seing the rest of the restoration, I have become fasinated by british guns. cheers
  8. A new, to me, picture of two Pheasants, one being towed by a morris quad and the other what looks to be 3 ton lorry
  9. If it still as all its original details, I would say that the civilian livery would not devalueate it, they do also have a following among people collecting civilian lorries. It is of course hard to give a price with out seing it, but I would say around 10,000£ maybe more.
  10. There are also a number of C15ta's in Denmark, but no parts to found, but can help out with pictures and measurements of the body
  11. This group might be worth a look, https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/106930550570/?fref=ts good luck with it and congrats
  12. The Chevrolet, Dodge and possibly the Diamond where trucks that the Polish forces, that fought alongside the british, used. The majority of all the Studebaker US6, where sent to Russia on the Lend and lease program. So the vehicles could have been left overs from the war.
  13. there is a Diamond t 968 and Studebaker US6 and dodge passing the chevy on the intersection
  14. Its possible that no more Dodge (GMC's, Daimonds etc. ) are being released from the Norwegian army. But there are still plenty up there on privat hands and they can be found quite cheap, but prices are getting highere and closer to the rest of Europe level. http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=51844951&searchclickthrough=true http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=51899793&searchclickthrough=true http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=51356175&searchclickthrough=true http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=51486848&searchclickthrough=true It is not necessarily very expensive to have vehicle transported all the way from top to bottom of Norway, so dont let the distance scare you. ( I bought a truck in Tromsø, which is 350km north of the Artic circle) at least reseach it. One thing that can slow the process of buying up there is, that you have to apply for an export permit on all military vehicles made before 1950, with the defence museum, and they do take their time giving it. Cheers
  15. Very nice pictures.... sure regret now that I didnt go .... please upload more if you have any
  16. And the nummer is stamped with fairly big letters and numbers, good luck with it, it sure looks nice
  17. Very interesting thread, the Danish army use a couple of Sd.kfz. 9 up in to the early fifties when spares ran out.
  18. Yes it is looking fantastic. :cool2: What condition was it in when you got it, and where do you find these things.....
  19. Very nice pictures, any chance of more of the Chevrolet Cab 12 gun tractor ? and does any one know who owns it ?

  21. Hi Kenny Axis track as mention, also this guy http://www.leharmilitaryvehicles.cz/ and there are these guys I think in poland http://sdkfz.info/, and go to the market in la gleize and the Militracks event in overloon, there are alot of people there there might know where to find the parts you look for. They are a bit of a pig to work on, very complex and very little space for access unless you remove alot of heavy stuff.
  22. 'METHYLATED SPIRIT-MINERALIZED' is quite possibly, Denatured methanol
