  1. Yes transport to the Uk would possibly cost the double, but then you would have a pretty rare piece of kit for less than £5000. And everyone would be able to recognise what it was from the Airfix model kit.
  2. yes it is actually closer to 1200£, an absolute steal at that price....
  3. If anybody wants a piece of rare war time RAF ground equipment now's the chance. http://www.finn.no/finn/b2b/truck/object?finnkode=56756955
  4. Well the seller is from the Czech republic, so possibly no problems with export.
  5. More progress has been made, thanks to my friend James Shopland and Parry Davis.
  6. Well 7 sort of fit how many Tiger I are left, excluding the two Sturm tiger (38 cm Rocket launchers), what Weathcroft has and the one in back ground of the picture earliere mention. But yes if Tiger II and Jadgtiger is added the number is bigger than 7

  9. Hi Bill At present the Scammell register is with out chairman, since the previous stepped down due to a new job opportunity. Possibly some of the other board members can help http://www.scammellregister.co.uk/contacts.htm
  10. It could be C/F30 Wireless 2
  11. A bit more progress has been made now. I removed the reinforcements from the rear of the cab roof, and made a new piece for it instead of the repair. This also give me a chance to clean up the area behind them. How where these originally attached to the lower frame of the cab? in the top it is bolted to the wooden structur. The repair I removed was crudly welded to the frame. The windshield frame and specially the corners are not in a very good condition. Any advice on how to fix these is most welcome. Being folded thin sheet, repairing these might be abit above my skill level.
  12. Possibly Belgium Army: Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, REME http://militarybadgecollection.com/2010/12/02/belgium-army-badges-part-4.htm
  13. Thanks, Though I might have sorted the cylinder head, I will know in the end of feb, when I visit one of my friend who has bought me a whole engine. I will let you know Paul
  14. Things are moving along, but not at lightning speed. The bottom half of the cab is almost done, every time I thought I was done replacing rot or incorrect repairs, I found new faults. Next up the roof, some rot has to be replaced and some previous repairs have to be redone. Luckly there are still enough other bits that I can clean and repaint to keep the spirits up.
  15. Very nice to see it being keep as a Charioteer, it is just as much a part of its history as when it was a Cromwell, good luck with it
  16. An interesting detail on the Sd. Kfz. 251, besides the traces of original Einheitsfarbe, this is an original front wheel nut and conical spring washer. Who say german vehicles where complex
  17. Well the last picture is when it was collected at storage before restoration Many years ago it was given a repaint before being shown at museum, sadly it the exterior paint was sanded down doing this. a couple of more pictures can be seen on the facebook page, which should be possible to view with out being a member. The group has a number of other vehicles aswell that people might find interesting.
  18. It is a rather large plate on the drivers side of the crane wire winch.
  19. A small group here in Denmark are restoring a Sd.Kfz. 251, which where left by the Germans and subsequently used for mine clearing from the Atlantic wall defence on the west coast. Some history here http://www.missing-lynx.com/library/german/denmine/denmine.htm The vehicle was in pretty complet condition to start with but had been neglected outside for many years and had not been driven since the late fourties, due to a broken universal joint. The progress can followed here on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gillelejegruppen/1442247706050133
  20. a late reply, but these guys have some really good paint, and the colours are very close to the original samples that we have. http://www.militaerlacke.de/lack/1kkunstharzlacke/wehrmacht/index.php
