  1. Thanks for the info everyone, it is the ATS look she wants to go for so we'll follow your leads and see what turns up, thanks again.
  2. We are attending a few WW2 themed shows this year, and, after feeling very odd ones out at A+E last year have decided to get some period clothes. For me it is reasonably easy to get kitted out but not for the other half. Does anyone know where we might get some womens WW2 army clothes. Also bearing in mind that (as she admits herself) Mrs Spood is not WW2 size, is there anyone who does made to measure stuff? Thanks in advance Don
  3. Good work, where did you get the seatbelts from, I could do with some new ones for mine.
  4. I think my favourite happened to me a couple of years ago at a local show. I was stood by my jeep talking to a mate (also jeep owner) when a bloke walks up and says "My mate has got one of these in a shed, been there years". As we all know the old ears prick up at a sentence like this. He then continued,"Yeh same as this but a bit bigger and more rounded at the front, I think it has a Rolls engine in it". Me and mate reply almost in unison "Ah that sounds like a Champ, made by Austin and from the post war era, this is WW2 American". To this the bloke replies completely deadpan, "No it's definitely one of these" :???
  5. Saturday afternoon I saw a hard top lightweight parked at the Travellers Rest at Malswick near Newent. It looked like it had a a fresh paint job ... very nice.

Back in the 60s my uncle used to drive GMCs that had been converted to lime spreaders. Hadn't seen one since, then at a local show last year someone turned up with a restored one which was nice to see, it was still matt green inside the cab.
  11. Excellent model, looks brilliant.
  12. Not much chance of skulking off round these parts. :nono:
  13. Nice models, makes me want to start again.
  14. Yes great pics, pity it's such a sad event.
  15. Just had a look at the new pics .......... now less certain of the 21 but a lot more convinced on the 88, will have another play when time permits. Don
  16. Had a fiddle on the photoshop but not much detail available, the 310 is quite clear but the rest is a bit of a challenge, I'm not so certain but the next two numbers could possibly be 21, while I'm 1% more confident that the last two could be 88 giving 3102188. Would this be a valid number for the vehicle? That's my best guess anyway, :??? I suspect someone else may be able to do better
  17. Yes nice to see you too .............. can I have a job in your office? :cool2:
