  1. As 52 EK 60 came into service in the sixties its record is on a 419B history card now is held at the RLC MUSEUM . 00 AG 79 are you sure its registration number was 07 ER 63 as l have it as 07 ER 67 the EK series of numbers are at RLC
  2. At the age of 70 l chose to retain my class one and every year l go through a medical a eye test and a visit to a consultant now at 75 l have just gone through the whole thing again. Yes l do feel at times the DVLA do make it hard but l am happy that some one else say's lam fit to drive just how many drivers over seventy are on the road who do not meet the basic eye test
  3. DAVE H l see you know cliff Goldsmith as to photo's l may have some from the museum just a note 23 YZ 80 was used by the museum to move the DYSON and COMET several times a year also it was used to winch the Berlin coach into position when it came to the museum
  4. 23 YZ 80 now belongs to a MR GOLDSMITH who was on HMVF but has not been on for awhile some one may have his details
  5. In 1982 one of these generators was used on the Falkland island to power the mobile bakery number 95 YM 93 the chassis were supplied by BROCKHOUSE TASKER and EAGLE and were from WW2 These generators were from the postwar allocated numbers 83 YM 45 to 99 YM 99

  7. I have just checked if the history card is at the RLC MUSEUM they say it is there is FEE for a copy it will give you details of the contract number the wartime census number the date and place of it's disposal doubt that there will be any unit details contact by e-mail or phone
  8. there should be a key card no2 for this trailer as it is listed on the records for these when held at BEVERLEY l say should be but some of the records held there seem to have gone a stray in the move to the RLC MUSEUM
  9. mark when l said l had a picture of the PV2 that had the meadows gear box fitted it is the pv2 not the gearbox but the spec con firms it is fitted at the moment the printer is off line but when its back on line l will post the page from the 1962 book. l may have a diagram of pv 2 in among the drawings but at this time l am down sizing my vehicles
  10. PV 2 Was the first to have the meadows fitted 2720RW the FVRDE 1962 BOOK has a picture of it pv4/5/6 DO NOT appear in the FVRDE files
  11. l thought the meadows was only fitted to the very early stalwart 2720 the later ones xx sp xx had the standard one

  15. l think a genuine one very hard as the contents were very toxic some one may make replica's the last one l had went on a DAIMLER ARMOURED CAR and was decontaminated

  18. the trailer is the FV2821 and the body had a number of roles including control room fire control with out more information it's any bodies guess the data plate would help the body has been altered which makes it harder it pin point it's role
  19. it's from a batch of these half ton trailers numbered 13 BL 70 to 74 BL 27 there should be a history card at RLC MUSEUM because it's listed in the archive list when the records were at BEVERLEY
  20. I always felt that the COMMER Q4 got a bad reputation for no good reason. Pleased the BEAST is still in good hands the tank has done well to last as long kind regards wally
