  1. I d say excessive amounts of unburned gasoline or raw gasoline collecting it the muffler and when its ignited there's enough force to rupture whats it confined by .

  5. A photo of a Matilda anti-mine flail tank , note location of flail drive engine .Photo was titled matilda 2 not sure this is correct or # 2 in a series. Appears to be north africa.
  6. This appears to be a modified British tank , for service with a combat engineer unit .Perhaps a prototype ? I don't know anything about it or where I found the photo, so if those with armour knowledge please add details .

  21. Ralph had plenty of time to wonder why he didn't take out collision coverage while thinking if he could recover some of the cost by selling his once prized Jeep to a merry go round mfg. Perhaps the origin of NASCAR ?
  22. Jeff's solution to eliminate the rear drive shaft to save on steel and couple the rear axle directly to the transfer case was found not to be a proper engineering solution .
