  3. All the Photo's are wonderful no matter what they are of . Not being able to be present these are the only view I can get to see what happened.

  6. what was the out come of the event? did they have any competition .... Biggest or oldest vehicle or most mud covered? or covered the most bystanders with mud ;-) :dunno: :whistle: just wheeled or were there tracked as well?
  7. The bigger the vehicle the more massive both the tires and the spare tire carriers become !!
  8. Its amazing what people keep finding that others have saved . All the bits and parts on some of these can help add to the data about field mods and uses that have been forgotten .Could you see what had been done to the back of the halftrack? The Commer looks like it just needs a wash and fluids checked to be back on the road ! its crest/coat of arms? looks very impressive. Is the wrecker gear from some British military recovery vehicle? Those are some serious tires on the vehicle with the crane it looks worth restoration too.
  9. A very large number of people turned out for the service and I see a number of Veterans as well ! The line up of vehicles was very impressive . I hope they felt it added a touch of history and dedication to all those that have served.

  11. You did the best you could , if it was easy then it wouldn't be a special event, Now mark it down on the calendar for next year and if it meant to be it will happen .....and you will have a picture or two to share afterwards.
  12. I think That you did just fine ... both your thoughts and the selection . A few short weeks ago He....Pte Benard Ivo Jackson age 24 , was just one among many other forgotten names on a memorial This year he and many more are remembered . I 'd say You did FINE!

  15. A very Interesting read , I hope efforts to stabilize and perserve this historic structure will be taken ...as well as others finding the locations of the other two missing wall sections. The things one finds with the Internet and Friends is amazing :-) ;-)
  16. I meant to say earlier that I hoped that neither Lawson or Jack didn't really put any of that WD-40 on their Running boards as they tend to be pretty slick enough without any help from silicone!! :shake:

  25. Great Looking group of Volunteers and the People looked like they where having a fun time as well .......For those on the other side of the deep green Sea where does the money raised go to ? I m guessing the United Kingdoms veterans of all the wars and their families ? does it do other charitable works?
