  3. Lots of official nastiness bettween Webley and Enfeild over revolvers. Patent infringment etc. Pistol Revolver No 2 Mk 1* production stated June `1938. Pistol Revolver No2 Mk 1 ** july 1942. The model was based on the Webley .38 200 grain bullet design, but the lockwork was changed by Enfeild. It apperas the hammerless design was original made at the request of the Royal Tank Regiment.Mk1** had no hammer saftey. This is a bar behind the hammer that obstructs the hammer unless the trigger is kept pulled, so the firing pin will not contact. As this is THE saftey feature of most revlover designs the the weapons were converted back to Mk1 * spec. Ha\ve a look behind the hammer. Pull the trigger hold hammer back then slowly release while not holding trigger, you should see the bar rise.
  4. I remember the old nylon Windys. Very coverted by us poor Nozzer's as they were only issued to ship's company. We had to make do with 180.... black PVC penguin jackets.
  5. Pol Lun is not a Police mark. The hammerless revolver became the standard issue. I'll ned to check dates of issue for you though.

  14. Did horse work with the sequel Force 10 From Navarone. A lot of second unit and the opening bit where the aircraft was stolen was filmed in Jersey.

  16. There are a lot odf suppliers for Solar Chargers various prices. Best mountd outside on south facing wall. Work very well though. You can always build a wind charger though.

  19. Like the 101 the 'Lightweight' (Which is heavier than a standard), was mainly designed to fit into the RAF transport aircraft of the time, then mostly VC10 frieghters. But someone then had the bright idea of buying Hercules.
