    Do check the fuel is actually getting to the carb. Just cause fueli in tank, don't mean it getting out! Wonder if the take up pipe may have hole in it? Are you actually getting spark at plug? A quick trip to local factor for a spark gap recommended.

    Sorry guys! Crossed lines. Time to do some research into how many types of trailers were used, and then pin down the individual types, me thinks.

    Don,t know about cobbled. The tailgate and tub are properly fixed, but could well be the same origin. Who made the trailers for the pump? The chassis was defimitley the one used for the DF trailers. The original intention was to take the tub off and put a DF box on it.

    The British built the M2 submarines supposedly as submarine monitors. When they turned out to be death traps they were modfied to carry a small aircraft of Spowith design, and found a diffrent way of killing the crews.

    The head can be modified to run unleaded, or you can fit a gas system. Lead additives can be used. However, from a practical standpoint, I've run my ex military Landys on unleaded with no real problems. They don't do a lot of milage and are usually babied along.
