  1. The building behind marked Menage, Lit: Carousel) also means a horse riding school. I'd agree the press could well be a railway mount. Would make sense as heavy equipment was often run on rail lines around the support lines.
  2. What bits are you in need off? I got a number of bits for my MK5 from Bikes UK. The bearings etc are avilable, just means searching the net.
  3. As the person walking beside it appears female. Does make you wonder what the purpose of the kit was.
  4. No Idea but I WANT one! I know just the private track I could run it on! :-D
  5. My locaL Fctors, Comma Blue genuine 5 L, £15.1 with VAT.
  6. How concentrated do you want it? :-D I run all mine on 50/50 mix, which protects down to -35 centiigrade. I aways use the blue stuff.
  7. I agree with Goran, by the time they reach 70 odd years old, a lot of changes. My WC54 has a US ordnance rebuild from Germany dated 1952, she was Norwegian, so is my WC51. I have the WC54 marked up pre D-Day as she would have been of a USAAF base in England. My WC51 is marked up in the signs for Force 135 the Liberation force for the English Channel Islands, I come from Jersey. Part of the fun, if your not working on the vehicle you can research units and historys to decide what you want. Nice to give them a name as well! :-D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9m8RMHLE4A
  8. Intresting there are two chrage rates mentioned. Why?
  9. I have to go hunting new rubber for the WC51, there getting to the edge. I'd like to find a 50/50 mud and snow. Michelin have a nice remould M&S fitted to the buses at the garage.
  10. Out of intrest, do you know if damaged vehicles were stripped for spares?
  11. The Waltewr P Chrysler museum will provide a copy of the build card, if they have it, for $25. http://wpchryslermuseum.org/page.aspx?pid=400 Checking Juan's work on the Dodge Forum 816 is in the 1943 range.
  12. There fine on dry roads, but I really don't like them in the wet.
  13. Artic version had a hard top, I know I had one.
  14. We only think of trenches. At many points, due to watertable and rock the fortifications were above ground Sangers. There is an excellent (But Expensive!) book by the IWM of photo mosaics of the Great War that shows all sorts of things.
  15. Not saying how old though? Happy Birthday.
  16. Good thinking Wally! Looking at my 1965 Chertsey book the 2 A with radio gear fitted comes out at 5733 pounds. So very close to the 3 Fair weight , over civillian gross.
