  1. Looks very much like a film prop QL, ...amazed to find a photo on the Internet movie cars database of my old QL used on a French film shot in London in 1970,

  4. It is a Military Mercedes Benz 320, 4x2, fitted with 6.50 x 20 truck wheels/tyres

  9. There were two Humber convertibles that Montgomery used, both survive, one is at the Coventry transport museum, the other is in the Imperial War museum, London,.. there is a privatley owned Military Humber covertible at the History on Wheels museum at Eton wick nr Windsor

  11. drops of clean yellow oil indicate gearbox/ transfer box oil leak, need to top up both units, with hypoid 90 gear oil, clean the whole unit off with a pressure wash, then drive for a while to get a more exact location of the leak

  14. further DVLA info. S157 FTA 1998 Black Diesel Supacat, the last uk road tax expired in 2007, Export marker, marked as Yes, presume exported in or after 2007, also it was civilian registered as new in 1998 which would mean it was probably a Supacat factory demonstration or test vehicle but it never entered military service

I phoned the W&P Office a few days ago, suprising someone answered, even more of a surprise it was Anne Bertrand the Co-Owner of W&P revival show, we spoke at length and found Her charming and very helpfull. we discussed the possible show cancellation situation and She told me they are waiting for Government decision that if social distance restrictions need to continue into/beyond July then they would Not be allowed to open the show, they are Insured against such eventualities, but cast doubt if they would get fully compensated, but Ann Assured me Everyone who has paid Will be Refunded anyway....I even spoke to John Allinson too, so rather than speculate, just pick up the phone and speak to the show owners yourself, ..not many events you can ever do that to. --------------------------- ......The very successfull Capel Military Vehicle Show nr. Dorking Surrey July 5/6th has been Postponed untill September........

  18. The above sand camouflage Raiders truck is now in Disneyland, 3 were built on WW2 GMC truck chassis for the film, this one was the most detailed one for close up shots

  20. GDSF always has a large military vehicle entry, and a magnificent WW1 display, but for them to make the decision Now to cancel an August bank holiday show, the situation is Not looking good for All other Shows/events this summer, .
