  1. It maybe just the transmission has wound up it its been driven or towed in 4wd, if so you won't be able to move the lever, try jacking up a front wheel to release any windup,
  2. The reason for the bend is to prevent the common Jeep "lean" to the nearside, caused by the torque spring pulling against the main spring, holding the spring under tension, I've seen a modified longer shackles fitted which also cures the problem

  10. After 3 months hectic restoration work we got the 1941 1/2 ton Dodge WC 11 Panel van to Beltring, still not finished yet, but it created a lot of interest, it would appear to be possibly the only complete original one this side of the pond, aint many left in the US either, now considered to be a bit of a rareity because there were only 360 built ! Had some luck in the stalls, found a pair of NOS King Bee marble reflectors for it

I for one will be driving past Shuttleworth on the way to Duxford ! the fact there is a last minute appeal must tell you why there is a lack of exhibitors
  22. A few military versions were built as in the FVRDE book above for assesment but they never went into service with the military, various government departtments used standard production ones including the large number bought by the Home office for the AFS, auvillary fire service
