I remember the documentry well. Unfortunatly Hawke was killed some years ago under dubious circumstances of the coast of croatia.

Well i managed to make the trip down there today. Was greeted by Heliops. Who accused me of bringing the bad weather with me....Apart from chatting to the usual suspects,cat and pat. Also chatted to Cripp,just caught fleeting glances of a few others,Chris G,Grasshopper,TooTall,Snapper,Artistes Rifles,David Ives. The rest i didnt see. No Lee,Ian Jack or any of the others. Had a great time on the way back. Managed to get caught up in a convoy of Army Pinzgauers at the Dartford tolls. I decided it was all a bit slow for me and pressed on. Had a few waves from the drivers as i went past. They must be remembering the good old days when they had proper vehicles.

Nice story. Now the Vulcan society need a huge donation like that.

Well it looks like i will just be down for the Sunday now. Due to the unpredictability of the weather. It will be no fun to have to kids playing around on wet grass,and for the other half giving me daggers. I will still show my support,and be there sunday.:thumbsup:

I do hope there is improvement on the weather front for the weekend.If not then i will be meeting you all at Beltring.

Well if it looks like a unsettled weekend. Then it will just be a day trip down there on the sunday in the 101. Nothing worse than trying tp put up a tent in the p***ing rain.

Croxted road Dulwich this afternoon. It was the same sand and green one i saw last year in lower sydenham rd,it must be someone local. Anyone here,or do they know who its is.

The MAN is hardly modern is it?. Its been doing the rounds since the late 70,s. The buffullo is a nice piece of kit. Saw one not long ago at Mildenhall. Will be up there again in a couple of weeks. I will see what else is passing through in transit.

I dont know what the exact mk of assault suit it is. Other than i bought it as part of a job lot from a m.o.d auction. In amongst the boxes of D.P.M jackets and trousers was a box slightly bigger than the others. When i opened it,it contained Five assault suits and associated body armour and equipment. there was a label inside the box that said 22 SAS creden hill. I take it that it was part of stuff disposed of when the SAS moved from Stirling Lines.I kept one complete set and sold and sold the other four off. I even sold one set to a captain in the Aussie SAS who was here on attachment with the grenadier guards at Chelsea barracks. Give me a week or so,and i will dig it out of the loft and get some pics up.

I have a complete CRW assault suit,including body armour,gloves,pistol belt for the sig sauer pistol. The plan is to put it on a mannaquin with all the equipment and have it in the hall of the house to greet visitors
