  4. There was a guy that used to post up on the old Ferret heaven site with loads of pics of his time with Ferrets during Op Granby.
  5. Hello mate. Its my old 101 you have. Any current pics??.
  6. That is a classic film. But my father always took the p**s out of it. He had his own haulage firm at the time that film was set. Used to own and run Albion,Mercedes,AEC,and Leyland 6 and 8 wheel tippers. He said it was film for someone who pretended to be a big wheel man.:
  7. No fittings for a Bren in mine. But then again i dont want one in it. Ive got the sterling mounts on the rear. And one Sterling in it, care of Ferretfixer. Two jumps seats are fitted. I also have the splinter screens in place. Lost out on one flask yesterday of fleabay. Went for a fiver. Just waiting for someone of the forum to get back to me to have there one.
  8. 1960. I'm portraying the last of the in-service vehicles. circa late 80,s very, very early 90,s. I will take some interior shots.
  9. Hello mate. As said below. the bren is wrong the time i'm portraying with the Ferret. B.t.w hows yours coming along. Any pics to post???.
  10. From the pic it looks like a stretched H3. The small engined one.
  11. Thanks Richard. If anyone has a picture of a later one. It will give me some idea what to look for.
  12. Very nice. A private customer i presume??. I will have to pay a visit to the workshop some time.
  13. Where was that taken Richard??
  14. I'm just finishing off kitting out the rest of the interior. A couple of things i would like to know. How many personnel weapons were carried. Ive only ever noticed the pair of hooks on the back for the sterling. Anywhere else. It also seems that the original type flasks are very hard to come by. Was there a later equivelant????.
  15. If i remember rightly. Didnt the demise of Stonefield. Later renamed Gomba Stonfield come about after a rather dubious Asian businessman bought the company in the late 80,s. Panarama once did an expose on him and some of his business deals. The company went bust in the early 90,s.
  16. Is that ex-Police??. I have only ever seen two on the roads. Both civvy contractors vehicles.
  17. Are they basic fleetline models??. What sort of prices are they going for???.
  18. I get to spend a bit of time on the U.S bases. Lakenheath.Mildenhall,Feltwell. Nearly all the Humvee fleet is confined just for use inside the base,as there were a spate of RTA,s with them on the public roads. A combination of width and personnel not long in the country with little experiance of UK roads They are one vehicle i would dearly love to have. But the prices are ridiculous. I remember a few years ago. someone turned up at Beltring with three of them from the set of Black Hawk Down. They were full of holes and you couldnt really do anything with them. And they were asking £25,000 a piece for them. I tried to convince the other half about one. But she said no way. But has agreed to its lesser brother the H2..........
  19. I think you will find its the reflection from the door mirror. The 4 tonner appeared quite a lot in it. Akin to the original BBC 70,s production where they made great use of a Bedford 4 tonner.
  20. Heres one of me next to a mates one(4regt AAC) Wattisham........
  21. Ive had the privledge of actually driving that at Beltring. Here is a pic of it at the Bromley Pageant.......
  22. Just noticed there is a Fox,Daf 4 Tonner and a 109 in it. I think the Fox is up for sale on milweb.
  23. Karl who,s was the WMIK you had on my stand at Beltring then????. I thought that was your new aquisition??.
  24. It looks good doesnt it??. Thats the attention to detail they gave to the job. They spent ages getting the perfect shape. I will find out how they done the rolled edges.
