Incidentally the cost guide for the Mk 2 Modified is £41.86 against £21.91 for the SAS Windproof. Also there is reference to a Desert version of the MK2 Modified with the additional note "Modified garment not yet procured" - I don't believe it ever was.

  7. Not wanting to appear a pedant, but this is a JAMES Report not MERLIN. MERLIN is no longer used, all the ERM data has been transferred to JAMES, although the same database is used for the UINs. Basically the reports are in a different format but contain the same information.

  15. The vehicles became part of the National Army Museum Collection and were transferred to MoD Donnington for storage.

I know these locks look like standard Land Rover items, but I believe that they are unique to Snatch - they have much longer threaded spindles to pass through the thickness of the armour and enable the outer handles to be detached so that the lock can be replaced from the inside of the door.   17. Assuming the same Equipment Colour and Pattern Codes as used by MERLIN:-1st Code indicates Colour2nd Code indicates Pattern7 is Green, 4 is Disruptive Pattern.
  18. Prefix 15L is a Non EGR ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation) engine.Prefix 25L is an EGR engine - vehicle has ECU box between front seats.
  19. The current DMC for NSN2990 99 826 4634 is 4CRR - Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle.The parts are the Primary and Secondary Exhaust Mufflers for the Auxiliary Power Unit.

The instructions for fitting the RF RADHAZ Protection Kit are to be found in AESP 2320-128-811AS Modification Instruction No. 12 and can be fitted to both Hard top and Soft top vehicles.The kit is designed to be fitted to TUL HS FFR and TUM HS FFR vehicles .The NSN for the TUM HS Kit is 7XD 2510-99-182-2566
